Amani Women Center/Johari Africa

Johari Africa is a social enterprise under the women’s economic empowerment program at Amani Women Center, Inc.

Johari Africa is Swahili for Jewels of Africa. It has a double meaning; the beautifully hand-crafted jewelry by African women, and the women themselves. These beautiful hand-made products have a story to tell. They are made with care by refugee women in Clarkson, at Amani Sewing Academy, and from AWC’s women’s economic empowerment program in Africa.
