La Cana

Handmade baby toys and ornaments created in workshops that provide job opportunities and personal development for women in Mexico’s prisons.

We are a group of women concerned about the reintegration into society of imprisoned persons in our country, and by the conditions in which they live within the prisons, which make it difficult for their rehabilitation and social reintegration to be effective. La Cana is a social project that seeks to create job opportunities for women in prison, through the implementation of programs and workshops aimed at their personal development, as well as work and training for it, in order to promote a reinsertion process that contributes to reducing rates of recidivism and delinquency in the country.
