Sweet Beginnings

bee love’s hive-to-jar products are crafted by justice-impacted individuals through our social enterprise program, Sweet Beginnings, a part of the North Lawndale Employment Network. Our mission is to restore hope and dignity by providing opportunities for skill development and confidence building, leading to employment and fresh starts. We operate apiaries across Chicago, including locations at O’Hare International Airport and on the rooftop of the Hyatt Hotels in downtown Chicago. Participants gain diverse skill sets in operating a business and learning the front/back end of the business, producing products, managing quality control, inventory management, shipping, marketing, and working vendor events.
